D vitamin insufficiency troubles are among the most general vitamin lack troubles; despite the incidence of this deficiency has greatly got down over the last years, it remains here caused by certain elements.

This vitamin D is created with the aid of the rays of the sunshine, which stimulates its production. You may have learned about the “Sun vitamin”, well now you know why they name D vitamin that way. Troubles with vitamin D oftentimes grow as a result of a lack of data about the reasons and the symptoms of D vitamin deficiency. The patients who are more at risk from suffering the symptoms are babies and pregnant women.

The symptoms of vitamin D deficiency come out as problems with the bones and muscles. This vitamin is an important one that help our bones and muscles get strong, so any lack of it will develop problems such as bowed legs and weak lower body motility. These diseases are: osteomalacia, rickets and osteoporosis, and they all concern to the same things but on different periods of life.

As well as these obvious conditions, there are a set of different vitamin D deficiency symptoms that must be found, and often go overlooked, such as: chronic fatigue, periodontal disease, bowed limbs, diabetes type one, tuberculosis, chronic pain on muscles, joints and bones; lower levels of calcium, hypertension.

These vitamin D insufficiency signals are not concentrated, meaning that they don’t necessarily signal an issue with vitamin D, however if you experience any of those, have them as warning signs and visit a proper doctor who will help you running some trials to check your actual levels of vitamin D.

The patients who run a higher danger of developing the signs of vitamin D deficiency are individuals who are undergoing a period in their lives where vitamin level needs are elevated (pregnant adult females and babies), individuals who don’t acquire decent sunshine exposure (from not going outside often or covering too much of their body, and individuals who suffer of D vitamin malabsorption (this one may be stimulated by cholesterol lowering drugs, hormones and some types of antiacids).

Pregnant and nursing adult females must keep in mind to get proper levels of D vitamin to avoid kids with insufficiency troubles and diseases. Frequently doctors will commend multivitamin pills designed to meet the nutritional requirements of pregnant adult females, but to avoid the signs and symptoms of D vitamin insufficiency, you must also go outside and get healthy sunshine exposure.

Did you know that vegetarians and vegans have a higher risk of developing a vitamin B12 deficiency? According to experts in the research of vitamins, t has been found out that these types of diets don’t provide enough of B12 for the body, so, as time passes a deficiency starts taking place. Vitamin B12 is commonly found in animal food, yet, it is hard to find in sufficient quantities in vegetable food.

The option for people in these kinds of diets is smart supplementation, for this purpose they can take special vitamin B12 supplements or they can add to their diets fortified cereals which also provide the body with good quantities of the vitamin. If you are in a vegan diet, you should include B12 sources before you are low on B12, it would be advisable also to check your current levels of it.

Here is a nice little video made by Oakland’s Children Hospital about vitamin D deficiency in Children, and how we can help our kids get the proper levels of it. As you may know this is one of the most common types of vitamin deficiencies found out there, and it has nothing to do with nutrition, since we are able to process this vitamin thanks to the rays of the Sun.

Sometimes, we think that using a sunblock is the best we can do for our children, and well it may not be the best all the time. Besides some research that warns about the dangers of sun screen, it also prevents greatly the absorption of the vitamin. The Sun help us develop a healthy life, yet we find that most people now fear it. It is just a matter of living healthy and not getting too much Sun exposure. Check out the video below:

Yes, they grow back, but there are some cases where this doesn’t happen, and well, this could be a painful situation, especially for women. Vitamin deficiencies can be the underlying factor that is causing our hair loss, so as you can see it is essential that we provide our bodies with all the vitamins and nutrients they need.

Vitamin deficiency is the second common cause of hair loss in women, the primary is stress. If you are seeing a lot of hair on the floor or the shower, it would a good idea to pay a visit for a doctor to undergo examination and check if you are indeed suffering from some kind of deficiency. Various factors will be determined, such as the severity of your deficiency and the correct amount of dosage to avoid toxicity problems.

Everyday I’m getting more and more disappointed at “modern medicine”; I have come to realize that we live under the illusion modern doctors know what is better for us. Not only a great percentage of the industry is driven by profits, but also many of the medications that are supposed to “treat us” end up bringing more problems.

In this sense, one of the main causes for the appearance of vitamin deficiency symptoms is the use of medications! YES! There are meds that we take supposedly to feel better – until we start feeling the signs of a deficiency. Aren’t you tired of the whole side effects thing? That’s why I always recommend using natural treatments.

By the way I’m not a doctor. But I know of doctors who advised a friend to remove her whole reproductive system and she had nothing, and remember that doctors recommended smoking during the 40s. Now I’m not saying all doctors are bad. Modern medicine sure has its place, but we shouldn’t trust blindly in it.
